i have a narcissistic personality disorder (actually diagnosed) and i acknowledge my narcissm

i don't think i'm wholly narcissistic but i am my most important asset. i think my narcissistic traits help ward off anxiety and better establish my self confidence.

i'd say don't just wait for your turn to speak with every conversation, focus on actively listening better and try to be genuinely interested in what others have to say. relate their personal interests and experiences with your own narcissism, it will make you a better communicator which is one of the main things life is really about.

try to remain empathetic and give people the benefit of the doubt. maybe the guy riding your ass on the freeway has a woman in labor on the way. maybe your coworker who called out's parent just passed away. maybe this person who is acting rude to you is having the worst day they've ever experienced, etc. empathy is so important. (and it's really difficult but every day is a work in progress)

the one thing i notice is that i say i a lot. not sure if thats low iq or narcissism

we are our own favorite subject, that doesn't speak to your iq. i'd guess that it's natural and healthy to be invested in yourself to a certain extent, but keep in mind that you are rarely learning when you speak, but almost always learning when you're listening. maybe try asking more questions instead of sharing as much if it concerns you
