  • i switched into my current major like a year too late and so if I want to finish in four years i have to cram in hella classes this year. I'm taking 8 this semester and probably 8 more next semester. that's one credit short of my university's limit.

I'm always so exhausted and busy. I make free time for myself, and I spend it well. I've got great friends and I'm dating a rlly cool girl. But at the end of the day, or weekend, or whatever, I'm immediately reminded of all the work I've still got to do. It's like a massive weight hanging over my head.

anyway, I feel like im going to snap sooner or later. idk how to keep up the pace without losing my mind.

Start by understanding why you're doing what you're doing, and do your work long before it's due, like as soon as you get it, then clear it.

When you're studying, do it in such a way that you're going to explain it to somebody who doesn't know s*** about the course. That will help the stuff you learn to stick. You wanna get into the mentality of learning like you're about to present what you've read. Break it down to the basics then build from there.

If all this fails, I recommend cocaine

idk, if you can do this without feeling guilty but just do nothing for as many days as you can. like i said if you can. it helps every now and then when you're feeling burnt out.

studying comes rlly easy to me, it's the getting work done part that's so hard. my brain is f***ed so it's pretty tough to do work ASAP, but if i can manage to do that it would definitely make life a lot easier

Okay so I encourage you to think of it like this: try to list every single thing you love to do, and label it as "reward." Those are the things you absolutely DO NOT have access to until you've cleared your workload. Feels even better to experience afterwards

No pressure. You can do this in batches. Maybe try to lock away the one thing you love the most behind the work and then live the rest of your life like you always do. It's a habit formation thing.

looking back i was out of my damn mind during college i thought i was keeping it together but i wasn’t you just always have to keep it pushing no other way to put it. God and music held me down

Why do you have to finish in 4 years, myself and most people I know took longer than the regular 3 or 4 to finish

Sounds like you’re going nowhere fast if you’re just gonna end up burnt out at the end of Uni

an extra year in college costs more money. my family simply can't afford it.

OP i finished in 5.5 years and im under 30 making six figs with a bright future in front of me no need to stack so many classes at once

Oh that’s weird, at Uni’s here the cost is based on classes not the amount of years you’re at Uni

If it’s too much you could start doing less classes but take on a part time job to earn some money to make it easier on your family if they’re the ones paying
