tl;dr Americans online need to stop making prescriptive statements for instances they don't even fully comprehend. You can't deplatform everyone and its not the solution to every single problem in American society especially when a large portion of the country believes it.

Add that up and you produce a culture that fears its neighbor, Views it’s government as alien, corrupt etc.

Government plays an active positive role in peoples lives thru healthcare, strong labor laws etc. Ofc it’s not perfect but at the end of the day that’s what makes the difference and stamps out these fringe waves
