I'm still working through it - but honestly, spend time with people and learn their character. Some people I grew up around were manipulative as f***, meeting new people is what helps imo

By simply not overcoming them.
Trust issues is a good thing imo, helps me to stay away from fake people and be distant in a general. Being too close to people is more of a problem and can f*** you over big time.
