no i've disliked every single project he's put out(that i've heard bc i gave up on this man after starboy)

last great song of his is Enemy imo

i can see what ur saying but tbh a lot of the songs themselves are pretty weak

somehow the prod and abel come through so incredibly and singularly that it can't be touched in that way tho

Which songs do you think are weak?

I’m not a huge fan of some of the songs by themselves but as a whole all three tapes have a vibe that seemingly can’t be topped

Even the self-titled track? I know hardcore day 1 fans who instantly fell in love with this, imo cracks top 5 of his discog regardless of what you think about the remainder of the album

This & Escape From LA shouldn’t be disliked by any trilogy fan

i think the issue is that when u think of any other artist performing these songs it would be almost impossible to make them not entirely boring and sometimes he just extends the beat for a second half of a song without doing much

for instance what you need has a nice intro and first verse but after that it's just a low effort repetitive hook that idk vince or somebody would write u feel me

the party & the after party is over 7 and a half minutes and the beat switch happens at 3 min and all abel really does is repeat the hook over and over again w that one kinda stream of consciousness verse in between the 2nd and third time for 4 minutes

Thursday has even more of these tracks that just drag on for minutes with no real purpose

Echoes does too but only once or twice
