I can’t take it anymoreeee 😭😭
Yes I’m trying not to get my hopes up and I’m working on other applications but this is a dream job for me and the interview went well but it’s super competitive and ahhhhh the wait is just killing me man. Don’t wanna get my hopes up but I really f***ing want this job mayne.
What do.
Some people call the job the next day to thank them for the interview, I’ve never done that personally though. I usually just keep putting in more apps to try and distract and give myself options.
And if that all fails, cocaine and hookers usually works.
Just keep applying to more. If you loved the company/potential job, then follow up if you wanna
OP just continue looking like others have said. Find yourself occupying your time with positive activities, stay hopeful but temper your expectations

Send them an email and tell them to f*** off before they reject you.
I always do that after an interview, I get too paranoid thinking that they’ll reject me and i send them an angry email.
If you truly want the job, ALWAYS call them back within like 2-3 days and ask if they've come to a decision or have any updates on the position. Thanking them for the interview immediately afterwards is good practice, too, but idk about doing both things within the span of only a couple days. If doing it via email I'd probably just include the "thank you" in the email asking about an update

Email* calling seems a bit too weird
Other than that go have fun doing a hobby or something. All you can do is wait at this point
Always apply for more even after a interview, who ever wants you to start first wins

Hello Mr./Ms. X,
I want to thank you again for the opportunity I had to interview for the XX position. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to XXX, and wanted to see if I could follow up on the state of things or if there is anything else in the process coming up. If I can provide any further information please let me know. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best,

Thanks everyone for the advice. It’s been about 5 days.
I sent a thank you email a day after and I’ll send a follow up email after it’s been a week.

the contrast
getting employed is a numbers game the more you apply the higher your chances of getting hired on and the odds are you'll be recruited sooner or later with this method.
Good luck @op

I agree but I still believe in tailoring your CV and application for a handful of roles rather than a scattergun approach.
I have applied to a lot but this one is just perfect in every way and I’m trying to mentally prepare for myself for the rejection but it’s torture waiting.
