my very first concert i ever went to was beyonce n jay zs on the run i was stoked cause im a big jay fan and 4 44 had come out the summer before n had me buzzin

i went solo and had a ticket for by the runway stage so i ended up bein surrounded by the literal f***ing hive the only dudes that was there was lgbtq+ mafia and uninterested boyfriends of their girlfriends.
i love beyonce just as much but i went there in a 01 sixers away jersey and a yankee so i guess maybe i stood out in that sense?

but when the show started everybody was hype and in concert mode so not really paying attention to people around you

so i thought

i was going crazy each time he played any of his songs cause man its HOV im feelin it, rappin along to most his verses and just vibing

i already had people looking at me when song cry was on. tbf its understandable to see somebody go bar for bar on a song like that but man its a classic f***ing record in all of hip hop like f*** you mean im not gon be hype when i see it in person

when he did big pimpin i really really lost it because he didnt just do his verse man, he played the whole joint. and i love that song but obviously i love it mainly for that last f***ing verse and i was so glad he didnt stop the song before he did it. so pimp c part boutta come on and boom no beat, he going acapella, i was already in motion to go bar for bar so i was literally at the top of my lungs talkin bout some SMOKIN OUT POUIN UP KEEP THAT LEAN UP IN MY CUP ALL MY CAR GOT LEATHERN WOOD IN MY HOOD WE CALL IT BUCK...
and with the beat off its rather silent so all like 60 people in my immediate area that heard me started looking at me like i was dressed as the joker

so in my peripheral i would see people pointing at me, id hear people talk about me in moments of silence, there was this one woman who was kinda deliberately pointing her phone at me throughout the night n s*** which you know, not gon lie to you, all that s*** felt weird and like i wanted to say something but it was too many people starin at me it felt like ight yall got it lol i just enjoyed it just as enthusiastically as that throughout the whole show though at the end

i got a history of being bullied so im a bit hardened in that sense n thankfully dont really consider other peoples views but even then it kinda got to me and i can only imagine what itd do to somebodys mental health whos a bit more invested into public perception
