You made no attempt at understanding anything and couldn't even back up your stance
I guess, You’re the only one showing malice. How am I gonna want to have an actual respectful convo with you when you resort to emotion
"Why do something online if every single living person on Earth isn't doing it offline?"
Excellent take bro
That’s not what I said at all I asked how does it truly affect their lives outside of social media. Stop paraphrasing. I swear y’all can never just conversate and just end up bashing the person with questions

Because it helps to normalize behaviors. What the f*** do you not understand?
Just gonna say I don't get it and leave it there.
Yeah same here. I don’t get it but I ain’t against it. F*** it
Honestly i just assume the person is seeking attention or acceptance from their lgbt friends
I ain’t calling no one mr or mrs unless I’m under 18 and they a teacher. Don’t matter what they like
Educate me then because I’m asking you wtf does a letter in a bio do for anyone besides let the people know your preference. You’re literally getting mad and offended at nothing. How am I gonna take you serious when you result to insults lol this is always the outcome “do your research cis male” “I know everything”
it "normalizes behaviors and attitudes that benefit trans and non-binary people"
if everyone says their pronouns, it ensures no misgendering and it makes it a lot easier for trans people to have their pronouns out their without it being a big deal
eg in a classroom for instance, rather than having to correct someone or make a giant psa by themselves, its just a painless 10 second exercise for everyone to just quickly include pronouns while theyre also introducing other things about themselves
--this is the normalization:"the process of bringing or returning something to a normal condition or state." making introductions also include pronouns makes trans people included in the "normal" rather than the "abnormal" (again, since it no longer is a big deal to bring up their own pronouns)
also it is usually not a preference. i do not "prefer" to be seen as a woman. i am a woman. i doubt you "prefer" to be seen how you are

Answer is in the the question...
If people know the preferred pronoun you don't have to assume and risk misgendering them
Some trans/NB people may not look the stereotypical part of their gender so you can't really just rely on looks
It's very helpful if you gaf about addressing people properly, I even think that most of it is just for respectful/polite discourse ; they're not forcing you to call the by their pronouns simply stating what makes them more confortable
But that’s assuming everyone has IG or Twitter. When it comes to real life interactions it does nothing for the person unless they take the same concept and wear a name tag everywhere.
So I guess you’re right but thats only on social media which is a decimal percentage of people in the world who follow you
You know it's not that uncommon for people to include their pronouns when introducing themselves right?

you’re being a bit dense. you can’t tell people to go google something that you’re having trouble explaining and then call them dumb. that’s counterproductive to understanding, which i presume is the goal of using pronouns. i came itt for a little insight and all i see is you s***ting on him for not falling in line and agreeing. make some valid points and it will help your further the reasoning for your world view, not everyone can easily grasp certain concepts, it’s up to those who can to educate others.

So it’s just to show preference? And normalize it on IG. Ok I get that.
Quick simple answers
1. It prevents people from being misgendered. This might not be a big deal to you but it can be a big deal to someone in the affected community
2. It destigmatizes trans and nonbinary people wanting to be referred to as the gender they identify as if you have traditional cisgender people doing it
@WopLaFlare
There was no trouble explaining this
One side: normalizing behaviors and attitudes that benefit trans and non-binary people
the other side: this is stupid i don't want to deal with this this is corny
And I said it up front at the beginning of the interaction: it normalizes behaviors and attitudes that benefit trans and non-binary people
Nobody asked for me to expand upon that so is that not enough to assume they got the point?
So it’s just to show preference? And normalize it on IG. Ok I get that.
I think that outside of social media people can just correct you if you accidentally misgender them
same way someone would correct you if you confused their names because it's not their name, it isn't what they respond to to it's not what they identify with.
I'm sure that a overwhelming majority of these encounters go well as trans/NB people are human and know how to have conversations with people especially regarding a subject they deal with everyday
I still don't see how that makes it "pointless"

im still not seeing and valid arguments other than to spare the feelings of others online. which isn’t really as productive as one might think. just because everyone has BLM in their bio doesn’t mean there aren’t still racist mf’s in my southern city. that s*** looks good but in my opinion there hasn’t really been much of a change from it, so obviously i’d think pronouns are practically useless, i just think it’s a smug way of saying i’m better than you because i do this and you don’t. same with BLM a lot of the times. again, i came itt for insight and i haven’t gotten much from you

I can't help you if you don't think destigmatizing behaviors and creating a better environment for trans and non-binary people is a "valid argument".
