Yes… thus, Prometheus gave us light, and warmth, and eternal damnation, and the awareness of our isolation for everything holy. Quite the conundrum, fire.

Fire (among other things) allowed our brains to grow. Fire cut down on the energy needed to digest raw food, so energy stores were able to be distributed elsewhere in the human body

Naturally occurring fire helps replenish nutrients in soil though
