Family member of mine has been cutting my hair my whole life for free after they’re done with their shift but i wanna find someone else at this point how do you even know if someone’s gonna be good i have a pretty specific cut with layering etc

I think they have sites and apps to find barbers in your area so just trial and error I guess.

Or you could learn to cut your own hair

ive been going to the same guy for 2,3 years now. He does my s*** perfect. Price hasnt changed that much either. When he's out of town i have a back up guy who's pretty good.

70-100 is pretty normal for a lot of people i hang around. i feel like a line up should be max $30 without tip unless you're hairs struggling and the guy does some magic

Take a pic of your hair the way you like it, shop around showing it to barbers to see if they can recreate it

Maybe ask a friend who they go to

I just have some shops near me, I dont live in a big city so, it was easy to ferret out the bad ones, and then just trial and error with the good ones.
