I’m suffering from depression, I’ll give you some things that might help me so you can help your friend. Everyone is different but you can apply my likes/dislikes and see if it help. I like when people check on me but not overwhelm me. Don’t baby them, for me I hate when people feel like they have to hold my hand and baby me like ima have an episode if they say something I don’t like. Don’t offer them d****. Please pay attention to EVERYTHING they tell you. A lot of time I drop hints But it’ll be like discussing normal things like music, tv shows, jokes etc. PAY ATTENTION.
There’s more but those are really the basics. Just be there and comfort them. Let them know they have someone. Be there every step of the way. It will be difficult at times but they will appreciate it and over time you’ll gain more and more trust.

give em a safe dose of mdma and then chill and talk it out. It's what saved me

Just let them know you care and check in maybe offer them a positive perspective on their situation if it is welcome.
It’s their job to process their own feelings and only they can do it.

I was in a terrible super anxious and depressed headspace (I even talked about suicide over at ktt1) when it felt like the straw was breaking the camels back and so a friend recommended me to take half a pill, I was able to actually be relaxed and talk, it was like my anxiety flew out of me and I was happy for the first time in years.
It wasn't the first thing I tried, I was depressed for years and it was so much of me that I figured it was just who I was, which is probably why all this talk about "checking in on them", "showing that you care" did nothing for me, my issues were deep set into me for so long through trauma. MDMA is even being used nowadays to treat PTSD
You know how telling someone whos depressed to just work out, eat healthy get some sun is stupid because it's almost impossible for them to take the first step?.. well that experience I had with MDMA took that first step for me.

this is definitely goat advice remember I was helping my one friend out every step of the way and their mood changed and they were getting stuff done I dont know if my actions actually correlated with their mood but I have some speculation it did
