Get off ktt2
Pick a goal that is reasonable but not incredibly simple
Then the most important step is just to push yourself to work towards it consistently
What helps me is that I think about what jail would be like. No freedom, bad food, unpleasant in general. I usually go outside even when it’s hot out and just go look at the sky just because I can
Then I think about how grateful I am to be healthy and not in the hospital or any health conditions.
Those two things get me going to get s*** done. It could be your last day on this earth op. I’m not saying you have to do an extravaganza of stuff just because of that......or......maybe you should just because. Either way, you’re in a great predicament for the fact that you’re a free person and healthy
Edit: idk if you have any health conditions
It’s not always easy. You should force yourself to be productive but you shouldn’t if that makes sense. And productivity dosent have to be something necessarily big. Take small steps
reflect on your key distractions and begin to think of how you can limit or get rid of them
you gotta have a will to be productive. plan out what you want to get done each day, week or month. its not immediate effect but you can build towards it by actually committing to things as a start
It helps me to remember that motivation actually follows the action and not the other way around, at least for me. I feel like often we make the mistake of waiting to do something until we feel like doing it. For example, I don't usually go to the gym (when it was possible) until I was motivated to do it, whether it be me being hurt by something or just me having some random burst of motivation. But it's always short lived, 'cause I was only going 'cause I was motivated. When I forced myself to go the gym even when I didn't feel like it, I went way more because after that session I would have some sort of "ehh since i'm already doing it" type of mindset. Same thing when i'm cleaning around my unit, i'd watch dishes and then after that I'm cleaning my bedroom or mopping the floor or some s*** lol.
Basically i'm saying that whatever you want to do that you consider productive, literally force yourself to do it and watch how much you accomplish vs just waiting for the motivation to do it
Reflect on what you want to get done and what’s stopping you from doing it. Minimise distractions and establish a routine to follow. Allow yourself long periods to think. Put your phone away. Go to bed early and wake up early. Eat healthily and regularly.
Most of all, establish what’s important to you, like really important to you. Without that, everything will fall apart when the going gets tough and you’ll have to go through everything all over again.
Good advice ITT so far.
Follow your intuition. Meditate. Take cold showers. Exercise. Put your phone away as much as you possibly can.

cold showers are goated. been out here taking those s***s since like 2014.
Don't ever go back and lay in your bed unless you're ready to go to sleep each day
Every night before I go to sleep, I write a to-do list in my phone. Just 2 or 3 small tasks is a good start. Eventually you will have the ability build your own routine.

I struggle with this every day smh. It's honestly my biggest hurdle at the moment.
