Is there not a competitive aspect to rap? Especially when you're blowing up and one of the top rappers in the game? You make it sound like it was like Tyga trying to say he's better than everyone. So Kendrick calling out everyone else except Drake would've been the right move?

Nigga literally said Kendrick’s gonna have a hard time getting features for his album.

But in reality, no one worth mentioning really got butt hurt about the verse other than Drake, and Kendrick doesn’t put 12+ of the biggest artists on every album anyways, so it didn’t really matter if he lost major features or not.

Well ofcourse people aren’t listening to it today but it was absolutely a moment when it dropped. I never said I paid attention to every response but I do remember it being hot topic for weeks. Sean and Drake spoke about the verse in interviews weeks after control dropped.
