Scorpion might not be perfect but it crossed over pretty well for an album that wasn’t really trying to, It’s his second highest debut for gods sake.

It picked up that classic 40 rnb sound from Take Care that was kinda left off his albums after that and still had him rapping pretty impressively.

Views is kinda too low on there too, they was just basically saying his older stuff is better.

take care has proven to be his most timeless project, I think it was his 3rd highest selling album in 2019 with ~450,000 sales, behind DLDT and Scorpion. His best really is subjective and besides DLDT most of his projects were met with mixed feelings

IMO Take Care really didn't age all that well and represents a different, more corny version of Drake as i've gotten older.

Take care didn’t age as well as I wanted it to. Great for that era but far from his technical best. It may be his most popular worldwide though. That cover is definitely his best cover.

Given the volume, I personally think this album should be ranked WAY HIGHER in his discography. Can box for his best album bar none but because of the Pusha s*** it'll probably be forgotten.

It'll be forever the quintessential Drake album because of the aesthetic and records like Marvin's Room helped create the idea of who he is as an artist that's celebrated worldwide and for that, it's an absolute classic.

It's not even close to who he is as an artist today though, and it's kind of embarrassing to hear the guy who made Mob Ties crying like a b**** screaming "I Madeee ittt! b**** I made it!" sounding like a bad b**** lol

I just feel like Take Care represents a very immature and childish version of the Drake idea. While there are songs such as Lord Knows, Headlines, UGK, the visual, iconography, along with a plethora of records that match with said iconography represent someone who's making a poor outdated imitation of Drake.

The Drake idea has evolved in such a way, that Take Care is incredibly outdated as it pertains to Drake.

The nigga is rapping about racketeering, shady dealings, circling the block for niggas, sliding on niggas in clubs, and even his R&B today has bit more of a mature sentiment. W/the exception of like Lord Knows, or Headlines, the album really sticks out as a version of Drake that hasn't been accurate in a very long time.

Marvin's Room is a fantastic piece of music though that's transcendent.
