He simply has a hard time translating music popularity into selling a service or product that benefits him directly. OVO Clothing line is the closest he is to doing this but even that has ed high overhead not to mention multiple owners.

Lol this is the most brain dead post. The show grossed 2 mil the staff and workers need to be paid, state taxes, income taxes ,insurance payments, paying other performers, spending money etc. Nobody actually makes what the tour show grosses

Drake said it himself so idk why you’re coming to me with all this bs

  • I’m guessing it’s closer to 300 million but what do any of us know

  • Jun 24, 2020

People itt thread acting like that amount is actually accurate 😂

He meant it mainly as he gets that for a club performance/booking fee

And hes not lying. His tour grosses on average " 2 million a pop" ....doesnt mean he is seeing all of that money entirely lol.

Thats basic music business 101. Unless its private funding. A few people have to get a cut of tour money especially the label as they give a tour budget

  • Jun 24, 2020

Drake is ahead of all of them, net worth wise, when they were his age. He’ll most likely hit a billie at a younger age as well. ‘I’m considering everybody’s 35 and under’ 😎

  • Jun 24, 2020

Google been saying 110-150 for like 6 years now, some day soon he finna hit the billy and google will still say that s***

Because he is worth more now. His house was completed last year and that would add an extra 50m+ and also his stake in ovo clothing isnt valued atleast to my knowledge.. ovo clothing made over 50ms last year so the business has to be worth a lot, it just wasnt valued by any financial institution. Plus other assets etc

I dont understand what youre trying to imply by being "only worth" that lol conpared to multiple other rappers Drake is much more wealthier than they were at his age hes worth more than eminem, hov, wayne, kanye at their age

Net worth does not equal liqiid cash. People can lose billions in "net worth" over night. Hov is a billionaire but yet he only made like 3 more million than Drake this year 😂? Lol

How do we know his house adds $50M

If hes getting that to perform at a 300 person club surely you can make the inference he's getting that or more to perform in a 20,000 seat arena lol

Forbes just wrote an article claiming Kylie duped them and she wasn’t really a billionaire and I wouldn’t be surprised if the same scam is happening with Kanye. He lives well that’s all that matters and we will probably never know his full networth I doubt he wants people in his pockets like that.

Because the property is situated on the most expensive area of real estate in Canada/Toronto (Bridle path) and the property itself is 50,000 sq ft , in addition to the architect that built it, the materials its built with and the ammenities it contains..its easily over 50 million

No...because the difference in logistics of an areana and nightclubs are night and day.

Club owners make the money back by charging table prices and liquor. They own the club.

Arenas charge a six figure rental fee off the top in addition to insurance and other fees. Plus you have to pay money to the other people working on the tour itself and other performers that come on stage. Drake is not personally making 2 million for a tour stop yet.

Also....clubs book artists. Artists book arenas/stadiums for tour.

Drake is building foundations in a lot of ways. A lot of new business ventures. He will be incredibly wealthy in a few years. He already is but relative to the GOATs who have 15+ years on him

Why isn't Eminem worth more is a better question. He ain't really finessed his white privilege. Dude only makes money off music?

    Hmmm

“50 M’s for a 3 month road trip” This was off Jodeci Freestyle in 2013. So off touring for Take Care he made 50 million for about 50 shows. 6 years later and him being bigger than ever with more expensive ticket prices and more tours you think it’s far fetched that he can make 2 million? C’mon dawg

..... bruh. Stop taking this s*** so literally lol, the tour grossed 50ms... he didnt make 50ms.... your logic makes no sense when you take into account that Drake never made over 50ms in 2013 😂 once again proving my point. TOUR GROSS DOES NOT EQUAL THE TAKE HOME MONEY.

Also if you use your logic and drake makes over 2 million per show...then why didnt he make over 120ms in 2018- 2019 for his tour with the migos?? He made 75ms pre tax and that money included music revenue and album royalties (Scorpion) and whiskey sales etc.

Drake makes a lot of money from touring BUT IT IS NOT the face gross tour revenue lol. You need to be educated on musical business

if your job pays you $100,000, after taxes that's $70,000. Also if you're a creative you have an agent / manager. In music, a manager might get like 20%. So that would be $20,000. Let's say you get taxed 33% on just the $80k after paying your manager $20k, that's $26.4k to taxes out of the $80k. So of that $100k you only take home $53.6k. $100k - $20k that goes to manager. That's $80k. Then minus $26.4k that goes to taxes.

This is just a small taste of how your pockets get eaten up. Of course the arena tour example is different and probably worse. If a tour grosses $50m, you have to pay Migos, arena fees, dancers, etc.
