Y’all d***ride Carti and Pierre and glorify the minimalism of their stuff but Earl’s take on minimalistic sound is wack for y’all? Step up your taste game.
carti and pierre are just as lazy bro
so u want me to go outside to appreciate an album by a man who has a project named "I DONT GO OUTSIDE????"
glad u agree
earl just goes on the mic and rambles lyrics that are vague enough for his listeners to project onto them and basically do his job for him.....horoscope tier bars.
and the beats are lazy ass chops over weak ass drums and people eat it up like its some innovative artsy s***, I don't get it.
White kids and weirdos love this s***. Earl makes mumble rap for hipsters who hate black mumble rappers.
carti and pierre are just as lazy bro
Let’s just say you can’t appreciate minimalistic approach in music
glad u agree
ill take a walk while playing this project and if my opinion changes because of that i'll sincerely thank you. Earl is my favorite rapper but i am not a blind d***rider.
Let’s just say you can’t appreciate minimalistic approach in music
I make minimalistic music and art.....theres a big difference between minimalist and lazy.
idk why people eat it up as some artsy bullshit tho cause imo this raw as f***
if it aint thugs kids they dont want it
What's crazy is its the same people who hate on Carti for making nonsensical music that praise Earl's new s*** as revolutionary.
At least Carti is on beat and uses better beats. If I tried to go running and a Earl song came on, my pace would get f***ed up and I'd fall on my face.
It's certainly an interesting take on minimalism, but like SRS, it doesn't really fulfill my wants from Earl. Doris and IDLSIDGO are much better IMO.

Yeah for example Gunna music is lazy
Earl music isn’t

Because both artists rely on minimalism in their music, they just go in completely different directions with it

except that Carti’s music isn’t even minimalistic, it’s layered af if u listen to the production and adlib on top of adlibs. Didn’t realize how layered it was until i started producing myself.

u really said "i can't set a PR to this new earl damn guess it's trash"

It’s minimalistic af lyrics wise and melody wise

Die Lit as a whole is super layered and detailed if you pay close attention to whats going on. it seems minimal at first glance but songs like Long Time are super intricate with how the adlibs are placed and what effects are chosen for them. you can tell that Carti and the engineers put a lot of thought into making it sound the way it does. I'm not seeing that type of attention to detail in Earl's newer music.
