Day 1 Durk fan here:
2012 is when Durk started to really show some talent. Ls anthem dropped that year and life ain't no joke was pretty solid. He was doing autotune and straight rapping back then. STTS1 is a hood classic mixtape. Back then, I knew durk was gonna be bigger than keef. He had pretty versatile songs and would tell stories in an interesting and depressing way. It was a lot more direct and personal unlike most rap stories which come off as narrated.

Durk had to find himself though and he fell off. Like hard. 2016 was when he started trying new things. Durk2x was mid but it proved to be a step in the right direction. I'd say 2018 is when durk really started to come back. Just cause yall waited 1 was fire: crossroads, public housing, how I know, granny crib, just flow, etc. Signed to the streets 3 was a solid moment for durk. He got a lot of his OG fans back although some just couldnt support the autotune era. No auto durk helped bridge the gap between his fans. It's been uphill since.

Durk is always gonna be an inconsistent artist because sometimes he falls into these loops of doing formulaic s*** that never worked for him but hes been pretty consistent since 2018
