Big fan of Mac Miller myself but I could never get into circles or swimming I can definitely see where op is coming from if that’s the only era of mac he’s been exposed to macadelic, faces, and kids are all really good tho and personal classics to me

I only started listening to Mac when Swimming dropped and unfortunately he passed away soon after. Since then I've listened to Circles, GOOD AM, Divine Feminine, Faces and a bunch of his unreleased music. I will say that he is slightly overrated, but that's what happens after artists die. His content especially is lacking, a lot of his lyrics are about d****, s***and just braggadocio. But he's creative in the way he delivers it, you don't really notice because his music varies so much between his different eras
