i still hang with my high school friends helps only a few of us moved out for uni rest of us stayed with our families and commute

I barely graduated so yeah lol

I still have HS friends I hang with

I’m more financially comfortable than many of them so it makes it awkward to hang out, especially with ones who are struggling struggling. If I offer to get the tab, it always makes things awkward and not getting the tab makes me feel some type of way too. Maybe just a personal hangup, idk.

this site always opens my eyes to the vast amount of different friendship situations (can’t think of a better word rn) there are out there, many of which i don’t often consider.

Many of my old childhood friends thru college left the state down South for better weather and cost of living. I don't have much left here in NJ and my parents plan to leave back to Africa when i finish med school so i'm out of here too in about 5 years from now. I still somewhat keep regular contact with 2 of them from high school and 2 from college but everyone else are more or less social media friends only.

didn't really settle down in a city until 2008, so no friends before I was 11, and really only stayed close with a couple people from school out here. Met some solid niggas though.
