    Inspired by that other thread, but keep the ghostwriting s*** out of here. This is about the exact opposite subject.

    Two points:

    • CONSISTENTLY - some rappers have a few classic hooks but a lot of misses.
    • FROM SCRATCH - because a lot of classic rap hooks are interpolated from R&B/soul songs. Of course this doesn't disqualify the artists in question if they have also written good, original hooks. Not to mention that choosing hooks to interpolate is a skill in and of itself, like a producer selecting samples.

    I think this is a very rare ability in hip-hop, maybe 20-25 rappers ever. It's rare even in actual hook-focused genres like pop.

    50 Cent is an obvious answer.
