I game a couple times a week, plus use the usual Microsoft office programs. Also getting into programming.
Always hear ppl talk about how Linux can be better but in what contexts?
My bad meant to post in tech pls move
outdated and not as secure as windows
linux isn't that good in a desktop setting unless you're doing a lot of non-gaming/not-gpu related activities
it's amazing for servers though
Im not an expert or smth but my brother had a laptop with linux and sometimes I'd use it and I hated it with a passion lol

If you game and use windows office suite stay where you are no reason to move
Only real advantage is in programming but if your using a language windows natively supports you’ll be fine
I have this linux class this semester ... it f***ing sucks
Don’t ger me wrong you can do some pretty cool stuff on linux, but just stick to windows
none bruh
Stopped gaming this year and starting learning how to program. Been using Windows for my whole life and switched to Linux. I’m never turning back. Take whatever you want from this.
if you’re still trying to game, just stick with Windows tbh. You can game using Linux distros, but its highly recommended not to. Just a pain in the ass.

Why is programming better on Linux?

Is gaming gonna get any better on Linux? I've heard it can reach better performance than Windows even on games that aren't well supported but idk ur experience.
If you're gaming just stick to windows but man Linux just feels so much better. Idk there is no objective thing I can point and say "this is how it makes my life easier" but it's just neater and feels three times as fast as windows, at least with the Ubuntu distribution which is the one I use.
Also the terminal is very very useful once you get the hang of it
Just the privacy and security alone makes me not want to switch back. The only reason Windows is used is gaming
