How much are y'all paying for rent as a percentage of your total income I feel like is more interesting. Just signed a lease and it feels like a lot but it's 20% of my monthly pay. I feel like that's a good % to be at

Everything is cheap in Arkansas but the internet, but that's soon about to change.
Me and my gf live in a 2 bedroom in the suburbs of Boston
For my share (half) I pay about 850-900 a month after utilities
Here I am trying to elevate out the hood and can barely afford 700 rn 😭
Yeah we gotta tear the system down some of the responses are flat out depressing itt
Inflation is wild. My childhood house before we were forced to sell it (legal issues + it was destroyed) we payed like 500$ a month on the mortgage + utilities.) I looked it up a couple months ago it rents now for like 1100 no utilities. It’s a small ass 3 bed room right in the center of the trenches. I can’t imagine anybody paying that kind of money to live there
7 min away from downtown Houston just outside second ward
I'm in Houston also I pay 900 altogether for my 1 bedroom apt.
1bedroom in Vancouver Canada, $1600 CAD, rent out my parking space for $50 a month so really $1550 (no utilities included except water and gas)
paying rent sounds horrible gonna put that s*** off for as long as possible
