I frequent a local Chinese place. I give out a random tip with no reason. Sometimes I give 30%, sometimes 15%, sometimes nothing. There is no reason for it, it's totally random. I can see the Chinese lady who always takes my order trying to figure it out. They give me extra cookies, they act nicer, they give me faster service. But my tips are sometimes 0% and other times 30%. I have no real reason for doing this except that I don't think they paid any attention to me as a regular customer until I started doing this. Now the lady behind the counter pays extra close attention to every interaction we have. I know she's trying to figure out what the madness behind my tips is. But there isn't any. I just like to see what they'll try next to get consistent tips. I think they'd be happier with a regular who tipped only 5% every time. That would make more sense to them. B.F. Skinner said that the best reward schedule for training the behavior of a rat is a random schedule. So that's what I stick to. The rat rewarded randomly will work harder than a rat given a regular reward. I can tell the Chinese lady pays more attention to me than to any other customer. She spots me the instant I walk in the door and always pays very close attention to my orders. She'll let me skip in line now and have my order ready before other people who have been waiting. Then I tip 0%. She has no idea why. I can tell it's driving her mad but I really want to know how far I can push this before she snaps.
Depends on how good the service is. Love writing that fat ass O with a slash through it on the receipt for a disrespectful mf.
Most of the times i round up to the next full dollar, or give nothing BUT i actually ONLY go to places where servers arent dependent on tips. I also like places where i can pick up the food and beverages myself.
If i order from a delivery service, i mostly tip nothing, cause the food is already overpriced af and i pay online, sometimes i tip tho, last time i ordered food 3am in the morning, i payed online and wanted to tip him, but i couldnt find some coins, before he was at my door, so i didnt tip
Depends but the most I tip is like a $5, they got like 10 other tables. If they give them 5$ too they good lmao

damn bro you should be tipping your delivery driver :(
I mostly order from 1 place, recently they even raised the price 2$, the place is like only 10min on foot away, the delivery guy needs ONLY like 2min with his bike and i order online, cause sometimes i have no cash at home, so nothing to tip. It are always different delivery guys too. A month ago i gave the delivery guy 50 cent cause i saw the coin lying around. Not bad, if he delivers to several ppl for a few hours, some give nothing, some give a bit and some tip much, i bet he gets like at least and at the lowest like a 20$ extra
