mostly listen to rap and more partial to giving women a listen for other genres, especially r&b. think it's due to an underlying reactionary perspective of only engaging with those artists when they're writing about love.
women are running rap right now when it comes to putting out hits. the narrative that they're in a better place than the men always sounds goofy though cus s***rap while occasionally enjoyable, seems like the only kind they're able to gain any avid support for in the mainstream. otherwise, john glacier and noname are some of the most exciting out rn and i'd like to see more artistic effort from the genre in general in terms of rappers cultivating their sound via full length projects
Women in general? Idk maybe 30-35% of my total listening
How should I count women in bands that aren’t exclusively made up of other women?
