If they are employed as a professor at a uni then generally 60-120k would be my guess. Depends on the uni of course

Like at Purdue, it’s a stem uni and it’s philosophy dept is actually small as s***, but I think the professors there were still making at least around 80k. In that instance I’d imagine it’s just bc the uni is a big research school and philosophers are always publishing- so they got paid well even if the dept wasn’t that big a deal
