Short showers always OP man I agree with you. I was saying that if this man wanna relax in the shower for 30-40min he better off taking a quick 5min shower to fully clean himself and then running a bath to relax in for awhile. Bath is always worse than a responsibly timed shower. But in his case using a bath+shower combo uses less water than a 30+min shower. That was my point. Relaxing in the shower for 20+ minutes is irresponsible. I think we more or less on the same page.

If he bought a low flow showerhead that uses 1gpm like mine does then he could more responsibly take a 20-30min shower.

I take baths once in a while

Quick shower beforehand for the actual cleaning, then bath right after for relaxing & pamper things.

Alright lol, I agree then. Ultimately though, I think the focus gotta be holding corporate consumption accountable and not individuals accountable.

This applies to every environmental issue. Consumer/individual activism is almost always less effective and the energy would be better off spent elsewhere

More facts. Nestle stealing water for cents for instance. And the current semiconductor shortage is due to a drought in Taiwan. Things getting bad.

I just can't live misaligned with my values anymore. I believe everyone should do the same. Really look inside and determine what truly matters to them and live accordingly. Get in touch with their shadow self and everything.

Fair enough. I respect it tbh. It’s hard bro. I struggle with that inner conflict a lot. Especially when I don’t always have the means to do what I truly value, or the energy or time.

It’s not a great excuse I understand but it’s just reality. The system gotta change for the better otherwise no ones gonna be able to enjoy a shower in the future :\

Yea I feel you. Its not like I'm perfect either. Every day I fail in one way or another. Today I bought a drink from a local place but forgot my own bottle so now that's one extra plastic drink container that's gonna be around for a couple million years. It is what it is. The important thing is to just try and have that constant awareness and to try and improve a little bit every day.

Real. That’s really the only thing you can do in life. Try to do your best and hope that you can influence people along the way. And vote (even though that s*** doesn’t do anything either). Sigh…

The most environmentally conscious choice I’ll ever make is not bringing a child into this world. No reason to make them suffer and try to fix the world that we (mostly rich ppl) f***ed up

We don’t always agree on everything but you do a good job of articulating your points and actually putting effort into your position. At the very least, I can respect that you’re doing something most of us wouldn’t, so props to you for that
