You still don’t get it. Wow.
At this point I honestly don’t know what to tell you since you can’t grasp the logic behind it.
You making minimum wage?
No
If it was a binary choice, who tf would choose being broke?
Kinda dumbass s*** is this OP?
i think he was thinking about spending habits, when u have that ability to get to a better spot by changing spending, it doesn't apply to everyone but could apply to some people
people who think they don't have what it takes. people who think everything is working against them and they're destined to fail so they never even try. people who don't want to work hard so they're complacent right where they are. people who just don't value money like that could also be complacent with having less.
there's a lot of people like this
My guy. There's people who work hard as hell, multiple jobs and/or side hustles and are still broke.

You planning on living in the bay if you hypothetically get kicked out?
You planning on living in the bay if you hypothetically get kicked out?
Yeah
Probably not a main city like SF or Berkely
I got decent gas mileage so i can afford the commute to work
School is online so that saves some money
Worst comes to worse i move somewhere close to my job and get another job somewhere in the same city
Jay was literally saying the same s*** on 444 that op is saying and y’all praised him for that so why ya gotta bring op down? All he’s saying is instead of impulsive buying some s*** to make you feel good in the moment, blowing your paycheques away and hating yourself when you get to that next week when you’re living off ice soup go invest some of that s*** into something whether it be gold, index funds, stocks, real estate, crypto, art, anything that appreciates in value over time and think about the future especially if you’re young you could damn near lay out your future for yourself so you can think damn in 10 years with this money I’ve gained in the background i will be way way less worried about being financially secure and possibly even way way up to the point that you’re living ez
You realize the stock market and crypto is pretty much like playing at a casino right? Except instead of the slot machines its more like blackjack.
And I'm sure that 50 dollars you set aside every check will get you some nice real estate in 25 years provided nothing bad happened to you.

For the sake of this argument lets restrict poverty talk to developed capitalist countries like the US, Canada etc cause obviously if youre from a third world country being poor isnt your choice
Niggas be in the club or at footlocker or Dolce and Gabana stores throwing away money they could be putting into savings or a ROTH ira
Or even better the stock market
These be the same niggas who be living paycheck to paycheck down bad complaining about how they pockets dry
Whats stopping us all from being like HOV
self made billionaires and s***
tbh even if i had money i would not buy something just because it had a name bran on it like versace dolce etc, i would only buy something if i thought it looked good, speaking of being rich if your so determined to go out and get the money BY ANY MEANS NOTHING WILL STOP YOU
s*** crazy and once u get older and u haven't established a diverse enough resume/work history/skills u might be screwed to working lower level stuff and not be able to be hired at as many places as you may have been in the past when you were young,
idk we shouldn't s*** on people in that position but emphasize to try to set yourself up for success instead so u can avoid that
Completely agree. Always thought they should have mandatory classes in high schools that set you up for the work force after you graduate. S*** that teaches people how to properly make a resume, cover letter, how to tackle job interviews, etc. S*** that teens going into young adulthood should really know about.
Having a job and working for my s*** is privilage?
I guess
would you be broke if this past year you had to pay $350 a month for rent cus you lived with roommates instead of your parents?
if the answer is still no then people itt are on your ass for no reason
You know money adds up fast right?
Bro you can work for a month to save $300 and lose it all in 10 seconds due to a speeding ticket or some bullshit
A 19 year old living with his parents? Preposterous
they dumb as hell clowning u for that especially nowadays young people have to live with parents longer than in the past due to the housing market being f***ed up, student loan debt, and everything raising in price when the minimum wage stands still,
they want u to have 4 years of experience for an entry level job type s*** like whats the degree even for then
you seriously don’t have an understanding of how the real world works. That’s privilege.
dude is young we could at least provide some helpful info instead of s***ting on him,
dude is young we could at least provide some helpful info instead of s***ting on him,
OP picked a bad thread title
would you be broke if this past year you had to pay $350 a month for rent cus you lived with roommates instead of your parents?
if the answer is still no then people itt are on your ass for no reason
I was already broke this year
i literally had <$100 to my name
If i lived with roomates id still be broke cause i had no income
Yeah
Probably not a main city like SF or Berkely
I got decent gas mileage so i can afford the commute to work
School is online so that saves some money
Worst comes to worse i move somewhere close to my job and get another job somewhere in the same city
Realistically you gonna be making $3,200 month with two jobs working 60 hours a week.
Renting an apartment in Oakland is 2,500. I’m being generous on that one.
You have $700 to live every month not taking into consideration utilities, food, gas, car maintenance, car registrations and school
And since you making 43k a month you technically “middle class” so you don’t qualify for assistance or free school anymore. How you survive?
All i see are blocked users itt
Lmao why you blocking people who don't agree with you? Come on man you know better considering you are #TeamFreeThinkers
Wow @op fixed poverty by telling people to stop buying Prada and invest in STONKS
I don't want to be mean but I don't know if you're joking or just completely living in your own world
thts how u becum rich tho
Bro you can work for a month to save $300 and lose it all in 10 seconds due to a speeding ticket or some bullshit
for real people gloss over this s***.
just random events can have you a few hundred dollars down in seconds
that is a huge L to take if you're working paycheck to paycheck
dude is young we could at least provide some helpful info instead of s***ting on him,
I’ve tried but he’s dense af
