My dad was one. I’m in my mid 20s and we don’t really have a relationship. We can go months without hearing from each other and his wife checks in on me more than he does.

Without typing a block of text tho, he’s starting over with a new family tho and I’m just glad my half siblings will have the traditional family life I never had.
