She's pretty knowledgeable, but rude about it
When she gives me feedback, jsut goes straight into the things i did wrong, and doesnt say anything that i did good

She hurts my feelings. She takes work too seriously and I am just a nice, down to earth guy. What do i do.

Have you told her this? If not, do so. If she keeps it up, go to HR

  • Maybe it’s a sign that she likes you?

Lowkey it would piss me off, too. I wouldn't say it "hurts my feelings," but being pissed off is the expression of having my feelings hurt. It ain't soft to not be cool with being disrespected.

Maybe I misunderstood tho and you're saying they're being soft for not standing up already

Sometimes you make good money and can't just walk out on a job. It's not incredible, but I make 80k+ a year and want to walk out all the time but then I think about how much I make compared to a lot of other people I know

Part of it is recognizing that these words can only effect you if you allow them to. You have to determine how much of the issue is whether the manager has malicious intent with her words and how much of it is your ability or inability to tolerate criticism. If you truly feel that she is genuinely trying to break you down with her words, then I would speak to her about it - but make sure to approach her respectfully or you guys will just end up arguing

Honestly there is no way we can tell if she or you is in the wrong here.

There is always two sides to a story, and no one knows anyone involved here personally.

I have unfortunately had experiences with people in my own career that has come to me with problems. Or complained about how things are. How others are seemingly being very unfair with them. When in reality those people have been in the wrong.

It is tough coming to a new working place sometimes. Especially an office. Before you figure out who can ask for help or trust. Who has an own agenda. Who only likes to gossip about others. Who is lazy. People who dont care about the work they are doing.

Sometimes as a new person we start listening to someone we shouldnt have in the beginning, and often we realize much later that things does not add up with they have been saying. Often you are hit with disappointment for being naive, when things sounded so good in the beginning.

My post ended up being a tangent about something else but I think my point is.... we dont know if you are just lazy/not doing your job or if your boss is a bad leader. There is no way we can tell OP. You have to be honest with yourself here. Only you know how it really is and we cant give you proper advice on this situation.
