How to deal with sadness after moving out?

I moved out a couple months ago. The place is nice. But recently I feel very sad. I miss my family. And when I visit them, that feeling only gets worse. Especially when I'm alone in the house again. It also doesn't help I barely have time to do stuff besides working, eating, sleeping and repeat.

Anyone who experienced this and how to deal with the sadness?

i would say enrich your life with other things like a hobby or make more friends

Yeah going to the gym again. Hope it works out

Moved out cause I had the opportunity to. Had the money and could get a really nice place in a bigger city. It was also the right time tbh. But now it feels kinda depressing, now I'm mostly alone here. Friends and family in a different city. And when I see them, only feels worse afterwards, missing the old days lol

Yeah, it happens. Happened when I went to college, when I moved to another city, and happened again recently when I lived with the fam during covid and moved out. It gets better

Yeah it's weird tho. At first didnt have that at all. Now feel that way, after some months

What made you feel better, or it just fade away?

Gotta put on your big boy pants eventually. Just tough it out. Get some new hobbies, visit your fam once or twice a month if it makes you feel better. Get a girl.

Have to learn how to be comfortable with yourself even if no one else is around. That should be when you’re most at peace.

It faded away, but occupying myself with things to do/making friends and spending time with people also helped.

@op can't relate to your situation but I'm sure it would be helpful to try and make friends in your area
especially people who can introduce you to more people
try and meet them at places where you would already have similar interests, like a store you like or something
pick up some new hobbies, try to use your free time wisely if only just to occupy your mind not just doom scrolling or whatever

  • Sadly this is how life is as you grow. Embrace it bc if you fight the feeling it gets worse as you said
