Stretch everyday, especially your shoulders, neck, hips, lower back and feet

    Relax

Do they give me weird looks for having good posture? I doubt it lol

but forcing yourself to have good posture is going to look weird because you’re going to look stiff. you have to stretch everyday and learn how to sit/stand properly before your posture naturally becomes good

Practice good posture in more private places till your comfortable lol. I have bad posture but like when I’m driving or sitting down I stretch my back and straighten it out, just pick more lowkey times and take it easy nobody cares about you(in a good way) they are in the middle of their own day with their own s*** to do they don’t give a f*** about your back alignment I promise

Do you practice good posture when you’re alone and not in public, too? Maybe try doing it 24/7 no matter what and don’t let yourself slack. It’ll come naturally to you before you know it.

Put your shoulders back and try to have your tongue on the roof of your mouth. It kinda helps setting your head straight.

I know this because I used to walk around with my head held up too high without realizing it lol

Lol I used to have great posture, even had this lower back support cushion thing on my office-chair, and the girl who sat in front of me used to roast me for it. She also used to roast me for what I would eat (had a serving of Pringles literally every day) but she was slightly overweight while I looked like a sculpted Greek God. It's funny how people will project their insecurities onto others.
Nowadays though, my posture is s*** and I could gaf less life is s*** in general lolz.

But my best piece of advice would be this:
If you work out often, you probably know that in order to bench most effectively, you have to "retract the scapula", aka roll your shoulders back and down, and then project your chest. This technique is good for doing several other exercises, and is key for having good posture. I would do this all the time even outside the gym, head up chest out shoulders back, you'll get stares because most people have bad posture and aren't used to seeing someone strut around with some confidence. Side effects include increased attention from women. Bad side effect in the workplace though in this metoo Era lol

Thanks for the advice b i def need to hit the gym again... and you might be right about the confidence part because since i'm kinda socially anxious i tend to be naturally uptight, combined with good posture i might come off as arrogant maybe

Lol i got those looks and comments during late nights at uni because its something that kept me awake, turns out they started checking their own posture every so often as well.

Keep it up OP and just be honest about it if somebody asks and add something like you dont want back issues when you're older

One thing you dont want to do though is have invisible lat syndrome
