i mean yeah a little, but that's just life

1 friend was kind of a hermit to begin with and after covid he just became more of one. the other moved to another city a couple years ago and got a promotion last year, so he's been busy with work and his gambling/money problems resurfaced so i'm like trying to be there for him, but at the same time i catch him lying and s*** and it's just kinda sad so im keeping my distance.

and yeah with my gf, my heart wasn't really in it to begin with. it just happened because of covid and i wasn't really going out anymore. we really should have never been more than friends but oh well

With the first friend, has he become a hermit to the extent that he doesn’t reach out to you anymore? Or is it just that your friendship has kind of gone cold because you don’t hang out anymore? It sucks because I’ve lost touch with some of my friends because of this COVID s*** because I have refused to meet up with them. I don’t know anything about you or him but it could be a similar situation.
