    go to small shows

local message boards, but don't ask for help right away. Be constructive, talk to others, like posts etc.

    Facebook groups are normally solid

    REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I’m currently located in Miami. How do u guys go about meeting producers and rappers and whatnot?

Instagram is how i've found the majority of the people in my city. Look for hashtags like #miamirapper #miamiproducer #miamimusicscene. Comb through those and find some people to build with. Check out their profile/music, and if you dig it, shoot them a follow and start liking their posts. Now here is where most people goof up. DON'T just DM them be like "cool music bro, lets build" or "Check out my beats", its an instant turnoff (for me at least) if people just cold call me like that. you have to be PATIENT.

Start commenting real/legit stuff on their posts and listen to their stuff, go to one of their shows, or catch one of their insta lives.

once you've gotten a decent feel for their stuff, THEN you DM them like "Hey man, i caught one of your shows the other day, and it was AWESOME", " I just finished listening to your album and I think __" etc etc etc. DON'T push yourself right away, wait for them to respond, have a lil convo. You want to have at least two or three seperate responses before moving futher. At this point, you should have detected the vibe of this person.

If they're warm/enthusiastic, THAT'S when you hit em with a chance to build, "Hey man, are you looking for beats at all, I can send you a pack," "Hey man, I've got this track demoed I think you'd sound good on, are you doing features rn?"

This technique takes EFFORT. But it's way better than coming across as a desperate spammer. YOU MAY GET REJECTED. But don't let go even if you still rock with that person, because you may have opportunities down the road. Repeat 5/10 times and you have yourself a network.

    Bro really. Ur in miami.

    Music industry lives here

Just go out to thesw functions. U dont have to be sociallt anxious cuz if theres music playing no one will hear u anyway. Theyll just laugh and smile. Then if they think youre cool they will follow you on instagram. Then they will go back to talking with their friends. After this ponder how bullshit everything is, lock yourself in the crib, and work.

Im in miami too tho follow diemercer on IG and DM me u from ktt ill pyo next time im going out
