I’m isolating rn and wanna try and meet people through Instagram and stuff. I’m new to insta never had one, I’m an artist so I pretty much made it for that

If you're talking about Instagram, it's really hard to do without looking creepy unless it's a page for a local interest/hobbyist group.

Maybe join some Facebook groups.

Is there a college near you? Some colleges have clubs/organizations that have their own Discord servers. Maybe check out some.

If you're hitting people up individually, it can seem really out of the blue to them regardless of your intention. Most people already have their set circles of friends. It's much better if you follow an interest/hobbyist group's page since it gives the situation more context when you try to reach out to these people. It really depends on how you do it. Just make your intentions known.
