I will keep it short but my girl has an art degree and is working minimum wage at a restaurant
What are some good jobs she can look into to help pay the bills? Trades, warehouse, truck drivers, construction are things that i can think of but these are not women friendly fields.
She could go back to college for a technical degree but that will drain more of our money.
Im doing most of the heavy lifting but i think i need a break now.
amazon delivery driver my bro said he was making $30~ an hour delivering in the middle of nowhere
Sell ya art, brother.
Let's say you price a piece at $800, even if it takes 4 months to sell, that's $200 a month off your art. Get them pieces moving. Have more than one up for sale at a time. Learn to market your work, and price it, and place it in front of audiences that are consistently buying your work.

depends what she actually wants to do
most creative people hate having a job, myself included.
she could get a medical field certification, I got a phlebotomist certification and nowadays I get $20/hour working at a clinic. didn't start that high but I got there eventually. with experience and as you get your speed up, more doors open. the person who was my instructor/mentor talked about gigs up to $40/hour. and that doesn't even include traveling work that pays more.
some people do Sterile Processing Technician work and get paid more, but that's more so in a Hospital. and its very physically demanding work, lots of lifting. what is she looking to do though if she has an idea? you don't want her to feel like you forced her into doing something

yeah and rent was cheap cuz of that
If it’s a visual arts she could go into film/animation if she builds up a portfolio. Even working as a runner while she does that would work.
Artist or just loves art? Can she write and speak well enough to be a curator?
shes got the degree and is pretty skilled yes

No, I disagree. If a person likes a piece of art and is feeling luxurious or in the market for a piece of that price, they're gonna buy it.
For all the artists available in the world, folks don't buy are because they know the artist. They buy the art because the piece is fye.
Selling art at that price point is about putting your work in front of an audience that wants to shell out $800 for an art piece, or set piece, or whatever.
I've spent $600 on a piece, that was a few years ago, but I doubt many would know the artist. I just got a new apartment and everything; I'd put up some cash to make the place look nice.
If you can sell an art piece for $100, you can sell it for $200. If you sell it for 2, you can sell it for 3. Sell it for 7, you can sell it for 8. Sell it for 8, you can sell 12.
yes teaching is an option
private art tutoring would be nice but we cant find the job offerings
