I swear her first 2-3 albums got kinda ehhhh reviews, don't think she was seen as a particularly noteworthy artist but obviously had some stans.

Feel like at some point some album of hers started getting huge buzz, great review scores etc and that opened the floodgates and ever since it feels like she has quadrupled in size as an artist, popularity etc.

Now this is neither me hating or stanning but I just don't really think those first few albums were massively worse than her later ones and in the same way I don't think the later ones were that much better. So the full 180 in the ways mentioned seems crazy to me.

    Need an ldr historian rn

it was but got mid reviews and none of her next few albums had same impact. I think her sound pivoted away from that sound very quickly too

her earlier stuff seemed like pandering to high school girls tbh but it became clear she has an artistic vision and I guess everyone else noticed as well

I guess it's true that her overall aesthetic has been refined over the years and is defo clearer now than it was on those albums which helps

Her style is unique enough that she can still stick around despite all that

There really is no other popstar with Lana's sound/aesthetic. It's why she blew up in the first place. A lot of girls love that s***.

    She’s quadrupled in size alright

  • She just doesnt come across as someone who is a tryhard in this industry tbh.

She just does what she wants and its genuine.

seen many artist try to act like her but it comes across as fake af

    • TLDR: She original in the sense it does not seem she tryna copy anyone - she is just how she may be in her private life.

Her being so big with those types is funny because her extremely conservative vibe doesn’t really align with them

Her music and aesthetic is probably the most regressive s*** you can find, nostalgia for a whiter america, and she’s publicly trashed black women basically saying “think of the white women”
