I actually have a friend majoring in CG who edits tik tok videos for content creators. The way he explains it the record labels pay tik tok “influencers” with a lot of followers to make videos with specific songs. So like whenever an album or song drops they think will blow up they basically pay influencer accounts to advertise their watered down garbage.
So it’s basically exactly how you’d expect it to work.
