By things I thought I wanted to do not working out, leading me to do other things which didn’t work out, which led to these things that didn’t work out, which led to something that might work out, but only time will tell

Moral of the story is, unless you get extremely lucky, you won’t know without trial and error

I thought of all the things I love, I love the sounds of things, got interested in music production, wanted to do engineering, since the process is difficult

I always try to avoid challenges, so taking up a profession where I feel uncomfortable, and get better at communication (which Im not the best at) helps

when it got closer to choosing what i wanted to study at university i wasn’t sure but the obvious choice at the time made sense because of what i enjoyed.

at uni though i decided i wasn’t a big fan of it though i did work in that sector i did more research into other things i wanted to do that were closely related to my field.

things that interested me more and seemed more fun with the chance to help people and work internationally

Acid showed me the rat race woat so I just work a job helping others that pays the bills well enough so I can spend most of my time doing the things I want like photography, exercise, writing, etc.

I basically just took thinks step by step (i.e. going to college, doing internships) and ended up doing something that I find rly cool

There r probably things I'd enjoy more or be better at but this is a great mix of job safety and interesting to me. It's always a compromise to some degree

Take psychedelics or meditate, learn about the power of your mind (especially your subconscious mind), and let the answers come to you through your self talk with Infinite Intelligence 🙏

took a leap of faith, reached out to a friend of family member who I knew was doing VERY well for himself and had no obligation to f*** with me

he ended up f***ing with me, bringing me out to his biz and showing me the whole operation

He told me how much he's touching and showed me his lifestyle, i've known what i want to do ever since and he's my mentor now

Used to do psychedelics in a more recreational way but now they're more like part of my spiritual tapestry. I use them when I'm at a crossroads or need guidance or need to work through some emotional blockage. I no longer smoke weed though, it's a truly insidious d*** for me. I wasted so much of my life high.

My next trip I will be using them to really solidify certain positive habits/traits into my identity so that they no longer require constant effort to do. Or at least not as much effort.

Will fast, go into the mountains, meditate, and use visualization and writing to deconstruct and then reconstruct my psyche into what I truly desire.

Sounds kinda weird as I type it out but like I said it's part of my spirituality now and that stuff is sometimes hard to explain.

What was the first thing you said to him? I always find myself wanting to reach out to people I see shining but I suck at communicating and asking for help

we had met and chopped it up years prior at a family get together so I had that icebreaker, but you just gotta make it worth their time

Don’t straight up ask for s*** or be like “yo put me on” at least let ‘em know you willing to provide any sort of value that you can in return for what they can share with you

So I went to Uni and got a B.Sc because I always liked sciences. Took me 6 years to get my degree only to find out once I graduated that I actually had no interest in doing on-field biology (going to oceans, forests, etc. & tracking/collecting data on animal populations) nor did I want to become a lab tech (aka a lab b**** thats underpaid).

So I took this office job which had nothing to do with what I studied but it did require a degree so the pay was decent. I also took a job as a phone operator on the side.

Surely enough the office job didn't keep me interested for long, I was deadass miserable over there and realized I could never work that type of 9-5 job.

So I had to plan my next move. Did a little bit of soul searching, asked myself why did I get into sciences to begin with and realized that I've always been a fanatic of anatomy and physiology. Now I'm specializing in September to become an R.N (degree holder path).

I'm saying all this to say that sometimes you just have to throw yourself into something, anything. As you experience different things you'll eventually find what is of interest to you. I promise you that your calling wont come to you overnight.

Most bio majors and pre meds don’t know what they are doing

It’s crazy how almost all 14-18 year olds have these dreams of working in those types of fields but as they reach their early 20s they realize how much work it actually takes and lose motivation really quickly

a decent portion of people in my program dropped out by 2nd year, it's not for everyone for sure. It's also this thing where I truly do have a passion for science (still read articles to this day) but does that translate to a full time job that I actually enjoy? Some people would love to be on-field biologists for example but it's just not for me. I got lucky and found an accelerated R.N program that requires a degree so I still got to make use of it.
