When are we expecting this on streaming? Friday?
Part of me feels like it's not going to be on streaming for a while. I hope i'm wrong though.
I think what initially attracted me to Gambino was his really interesting mix of talent, confidence and very deep self loathing. once he survived his suicide attempt and stopped pretending to be happy in 2013, the darkness that resulted in BTI amid all the other s*** really resonated with me when the album dropped. I feel like for a long time, from his earliest work up until 2014, that somber depression characterized a lot of his music - y’all remember those depressing ass notes he wrote on Instagram? dude was lamenting everything that wasn’t going right in his life - whether he’d have a baby when he wanted, whether his show would be successful, whether anything would work out for him in the end
so for 7 years later for him to have an interlude on here where he tells his child that he loves himself after two of his most successful years ever ... I’m finna cry dog it’s too much
