My grandfather passed away recently, and Ive seen this pan out in real time

Those who saw him recently were saddened, but are taking it easier than those who haven’t spoken to him. All those coulda woulda shoulda thoughts come rushing in and it just makes the grief so much more potent

whenever family i only see on thanksgiving/xmas pass away it doesn’t really affect me at all maybe i’ll be sad day of and at the funeral but that’s about it.
