Honestly togashi just put the ball in GRRM’s court tbh. I don’t think EVERY writer should have to do this, but if you know good and well you’re probably not finishing your world before you’re gone…I mean
It’s even worse for Song of Ice and Fire because this mf told HBO and the show runners the ending like 6 years ago, and they did a terrible job with it
This is the ending he is not choosing so it's whatever.
But still nice to read that Gon is a major player in the story later.
Which confirms that Togashi does want to do Gon story later with that chimera ant (gyro was it?)
don’t make me use that word you and your kind despise boi
What the f*** is that supposed to mean

Well only in this ending. It's possible that in the other endings that he's actually considering, Gon doesn't return. Hard to say
I think he should just work with an animation studio and complete the story in that medium. Seems like the most realistic option if he wants to finish the story while he's still alive
Translation of what Togashi said. DO NOT CLICK if you don't want to know the ending. (Togashi notes he has multiple versions of endings. Togashi states that he may not end up choosing any of the endings he talks about here. Though he says if he passes away then to take this as the ending of HxH.)

Funny that among each option Togashi chose to share the scrapped ending as the potentially definitive one. You can tell he fully intends to finish the story.
Really sad that he considers he could pass away so soon, he is 50 something and thats really young still
The full interview is fascinating:
Togashi modeling Killua's design off MPD Psycho is very cool. Nice to read about his writing process for the Succession Arc too - though he implies there could be greater balance, I believe the amount of text works well.
will we finally see more of Crazy Slots in form of Kite's moveset?
I want to see how they are going to balance this game
Wasnt this suppose to be coming back like months ago
he likes teasing then avoid releasing anything at all lmao
Bruh
just expect one of those endings to happen at this pace. Unfortunate because of health issues, but we aren’t getting done the dark continent for decades. He should just write the plot and storyboard tbh.

Doesn’t want to
It’s his baby, guy still wants to draw. I think her lessened his load somewhat, but probably tough for him to give up something that’s been central to his career

I want to see it fully finished but ten chapters every 3 years means 30 chapters in 9 years. We’ll be old men by the time this finish. HxH is amazing but are people really going to feel the same patience when they are 50 years old? Lol

Got no choice lol
Togashi got the same mentality as those old people that are used to working with their hands and they’ll be 70 still doing things they should let go

That's just all mangakas honestly, its rare that a series be a real collaborative effort.
It just now with Miura and Toriyama's untimely death, more people are paying attention to the fact that Mangakas keep everything to themselves outside of some editors.
