Lowkey facts tbh but with the growth in true wireless headphone/earbud tech it made the headphone jack obsolete. There are other technological improvements that can be made by removing the headphone jack as well. Room for larger/better batteries, better cameras, better waterproof capabilities, etc.

Originally when Apple did this it was just a means to further tax their dumbass consumers. It was other phone manufacturers to figure out you can actually make technological advancements to phones and take advantage of having more room by removing the headphone jacks.
