This is what I'm talking about....you're exactly one of the people I reference. You can't understand that someone can love the music and not like the person... and yes not liking someone doesn't mean you can only say negative things about them. It's a very childish mentality in my opinion. I wish no offence to you sir but I don't want to get in repetitive arguments when you will randomly reply to me in threads about stuff I've said in other threads. I think I'm the only person lol, if someones a musician their music is a big part of who they are, and their personality seeps into it as music is a form of self expression, I understand your point if you're saying you only like Ye music from 10/20 years ago but if you like the music he makes after he did the Hitler Holocaust denial stuff then saying you hate him is weird to me, but do what you want

my example is the song "Someday we'll all be free" (which I like) is a song where you could say Ye is suggesting that one day people will be able to love Hitler if their minds are free enough, some people could listen to it without that context and like it, some people (like me) could know the stupid context but recognise Ye is just plain stupid and enjoy it regardless, but if you really "hate" him and know the context behind the song and still like it then thats kinda off

I understand what you say.. honestly I couldn't really bring myself to like that song considering the context, only listened to it a couple times. And obviously the leak I liked and commented on was pre-Hitler and i had liked it pre Hitler.

And maybe you misunderstand me because it would be a challenge for me to get hype for any new music without further redress.. it's still difficult to just casually listen unless I'm feeling a particular album or song. So I do feel you've got the wrong impression of where I am in regards to him.

I'm not coming from of separate artist from art it's OK if you can't do that, more a place of don't pretend like bad people can't and haven't done great things - don't rewrite history to suit your feelings. (I don't believe u do that tho really so not at u)

in the past for sure, I think art is an expression of who someone is as a person so it can't be excluded, but people change all the time be it big ways or small so liking what they did in the past I understand
