Ok time for a quick write up

The positives

The fights were cooler than the first in this one. And I have a soft spot for Walton goggins. The cgi was cool as well and I found this movie overall funnier than the first

But yet again ant man is just a boring super hero tbh and they just can’t get a good plot to these movies. This s*** was boring af not gonna lie…. I didn’t care at all about saving the wife or Ava or any of the villians lmfao.

Only interesting part was the post credits scene lmfao.

Let me be clear though this wasn’t an absolute pain to watch like thor dark world. As I did enjoy some of the fights, and the jokes. Just man it’s hard to actually care about these characters. I hope they don’t make a third one of these and just leave it at that unless they get a good director and a good script

directing isnt the problem with the antman movies tho

i mean yeah a more creative director would help but it is not the issue imo

think the main problem is the weak villain (which will be solved with 3) which also causes (especially the 2nd one) to have a weak story

could all be fixed with the 3rd

the director just makes everything about antman turn into MIDman so I have no hope. even if the villain is good in the comics it doesn't mean the director can make it live up to it's full potential on the screen.

if it's good it's good though.

hes already confirmed to be good by the way he carried that loki finale lmao

the problem is pretty obviously to me the writing, reed directs the comedy / family aspects well and the 2nd unit makes some cool action sequences
