I’m not even trolling ☠️☠️☠️If I was I would’ve just said “hey I’m a software engineer and I make 100k a year” like mate I’m actually looking for help

Learn scripting if u wanna do networking; this is powershell, Linux terminal, etc. you mentioned Cisco that’s 100% networking, have you designed a network using Cisco software? You know how to resolve adding and assigning IP’s which etc etc
If you don’t wanna work with physical wires and servers aka networking, you learn programming. I suggest you start off with c# windows GUI’s using .net framework.
Have fun learning and beginning rather learning C or other s*** that doesn’t have easy to create GUI’s.
I’m a software developer :P
java
FYI Java is one of the hardest languages to learn
? Harder than c or anything below no way. It is a great middle ground.

it sort of depends on what ur trying to do but in general its not as accessible as something like python
i never used C but C++ is the only language ive used thats harder to start with than java
Im throwing random S*** I learned at computer classes, not like I’m mr robot
Mr Robot is a cybersecurity engineer, which means he's really good at scripting (bash and powershell presumably), networking/pentesting, and Linux/Windows.
He prolly knows Python but he's not exactly a coder like a Software Dev.
He's actually a good example of a prestigious tech job that doesnt exactly require a lot of coding knowledge.

If youre serious start working through the blind 75 on leetcode.com for coding interview practice and read teamblind.com for advice, if you search Cisco there might be some company-specific info too
This resource is good for coding interviews neetcode.io/practice
