i think he’s really taking a similar route to ye in the sense that they made beautifully crafted masterpieces and then deviated away from that by making music that instead is impressive because of its imperfections and not conforming to typical musical standards/song structure

he really surprised people when he did this song at coachella when most people thought it was just a one off freestyle
