MrKiDBro, Cudi does not have to acknowledge X and that's ok. We can still appreciate both artists for what they done for music. Also X died super young so we didn't even get to see him having albums like MOTM1-2 or s*** even albums like Indicud and SBTH (sort of to his fans) that impact a generation of kids. So to say that X did more than Cudi in 1-2 years is completely disrespectful.

17 and ? is not MOTM level bro, don't be that bro. There was a lot of tracks that was really good, but they weren't pushing boundaries of what Cudi was doing at the time, especially with the fact that the hip-hop industry was going through a huge shift and change.

I'd understand, especially for the fact that X came from my generation and speaking to the kids on a huge level like Cudi. He did it very well while he was here, he just didn't have enough time to perfect his style, lyricism, and content imo. 17 and ? were steps in the right direction, but it wasn't fully mastered and polished.
