So this kid, who consciously decided to illegally arm himself (with a big ass army issued rifle)and travel 30 miles to another town to play as some kind of Sheriff, putting out fires with a fire extinguisher , is going to get off after killing people who aggressed him during a time of turmoil and chaos??

Like people are supposed to be chill when they see some butterball civilian kid walking around a riot with a AR 15.
    Am I getting this right?

So I can just arm myself and go to protests and wait for people to attack me and start shooting and I'm good?

Kid shouldn't of been there period. It wasn't even in his town, he is not a law enforcement officer. People died because he thought he was some good kid doing good deeds. If he didn't have that gun, would he have been inclined to go do something? I bet the gun is what even gave him the balls to leave the house.

I'm not saying he should get life imprisonment because at the end of the day, those dudes wanted smoke with a dude holding an AR-15, even after he allegedly called himself friendly. I understand self defense.

What I don't understand is no one putting any responsibility on the kid. No one is asking why he was looked at as a threat...

If you are thinking of going somewhere and you think 'man, I should bring my rifle just in case'

You probably shouldn't go to that place.

Unless you live in post-apocalyptic times where the whole world is essentially a pirate state, that's cool. Bring all the guns you can carry.

He should def get charged with something, idk why hes out trying to be a vigilante instead of protecting whatever property he went to protect.
