Smooth brain
I think rap having like zero historical memory at the top level anymore and being totally pop driven is really grim.
But hearing this corny Glee f*** shoehorn in rap allusions is a lot more painful than that
The hell does “historical memory at the top level” mean?
thought u meant movies but realize u mean musicals
musicals are corny but there’s great musical composition in them, a lot of songwriters use, and i’m sure there is far far FAR better musical scores than one written by a white puerto rican nigga that was bullied who turned slave masters to rappers
Musicals don't have to have songs where it tells the story directly like that it can just be great songs that fit the scene / capture the mood
What niggas know bout this

One of my friends is into theater bullshit and just played a song off Hamilton. Had never heard anything off this bs before but this s*** was so unbelievably corny and just terrible. I don’t get the appeal of this type of bullshit. Woat music genre
This the equivalent of listening to one drake song and saying rap is bullshit
it’s terrible music tho
Music is subjective for all we know you could listening to literal trash and would probably get pissed off if someone judged you so stop judging other people and SPECIALLY your homies and do you bro
OSTs are goated unless they are musicals
motherfucker I got Shrek OST on vinyl

Immortal Technique did my mans dirty
soundtracks for the vast majority of musicals completely baffle me as of their existence

Like the producer might flip an old beat but the rapper is clearly pulling from like... Just Lil Wayne and not even Lil Wayne before Lollypop lol
