My boyfriend wants me to go to the other side of the state with him for a good job. Im still a senior in high school and my grandad said i should stay here, graduate, and then go settle down with him. My boyfriend said hes gonna decline this job offer because he cant be with me. I want him to take this job, because i will be there eventually, just not now. What do i do? Im going to be completely disowned by my family if i leave, or ill lose an opportunity to start a good life young because my boyfriend is stubborn.

Why can’t he move and start work, then you meet him there after you graduate?

Just reread this and kinda missed a detail. He won’t even let you meet him down there?Thats not fair and you should talk to him further about how uncomfortable this is making you, if he doesn’t listen to reason then you may have another kind of decision to make.

Graduate first. Then go join him down there. if he really loved you he could stand a couple months of separation if it meant u guys could start a life together by the end of the year

damn, i guess finish high school first, try to convince him to wait for you and if he doesn't then I'm sorry, but finishing high school should be the top priority

You still in high school. Your life have not even begun yet. Keep studying and graduate before doing anything.
